MISSION STATEMENT
The Child Abuse Prevention Center is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that
seeks to significantly reduce the incidence of child abuse and neglect in Westchester
County, New York. We provide parents with the tools needed to raise their children
to be happy, healthy and productive members of the community. We believe that the
future of our community can be significantly improved by the successful accomplishment
of our mission.
HIGHLIGHTS

Founded in 1982 by five Westchester Exchange Clubs.
Financially supported by foundations, businesses, individuals and the Westchester
County Department of Social Services and special event fundraising.
Provides support to families using a home visitation model that strengthens the
parent/child relationship and improves the home atmosphere.
We use a social work model to strengthen the family.
Our Parent Aides are Volunteers, Social Work Interns and our Professional Staff.
We serve over 150 families a year in our Parent Aide programs with an overall 90%
success rate.
We serve over 1,000 families a year through workshops, groups, our Helpline and
community events.
Our Volunteers collectively contributed over 7,500 hours of time last year.
Our Center’s staff of six are knowledgeable, diverse and dedicated individuals.
Our Student Interns include students from universities such as Fordham, Hunter,
NYU, Columbia and Westchester Community College.
We have a volunteer Board of prestigious individuals who are actively involved in
our programs .
