Our professional staff supports our 100 enthusiastic volunteers. These volunteers
are an essential and integral part of the Center. Volunteers are needed both as
Parent Aides and to support the various administrative and technical needs of the
organization. The volunteers, under the able direction of our professional staff,
usually provides a critical 50% of the support to families. A volunteer typically
spends one hour a week with their assigned parents.
Parent Aide Volunteers receive a comprehensive 12-hour training course to provide
them with the knowledge they need to be successful. Experienced members of our professional
staff supervise the volunteers. The volunteers become nurturing, supportive role
models to parents who need help dealing with their parenting concerns.
Our experience shows that volunteers find our program to be extremely rewarding
and gratifying and “get as much as they give”. We greatly value our volunteers and
hope you might consider talking to us about this opportunity to serve our community.
No one kind of person or a specific background is necessary in a successful Child
Abuse Prevention volunteer. Our successful volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds
and experiences.
To volunteer, contact Linda Paver (LCSW-R), Assistant Executive Director by phone,
